Wellsboro Man Jailed on Sexual Assault Charges
Mansfield-based state police have charged 32 year old Addam Trahey of Wellsboro with two counts of indecent assault, and one of corruption of minors for incidents allegedly taking place last fall. Authorities say the charges stem from their investigation into allegations that Trahey had fondled a three year old girl last October. Trahey was committed to the Tioga County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge Philip Sweet.


New Jersey Man Admitted to Potter County ARD Program for Theft
Vaughn Kenny, 31, of Berlin, NJ was admitted to the Potter County ARD program for nine months and ordered to pay all related costs and fees on a charge of theft of leased property and receiving stolen items. According to Potter County DA Dawn Fink. Kenny had a business in downtown Galeton in which he leased a coffee brewer and cappuccino machine. During a going out of business sale last April, Kenny sold the leased equipment. He was also ordered to perform 25 hours of community service to Potter County.

Sentencing for Emporium Man Scheduled for April in Potter County
In other Potter County court news, 32 year old Lynton Turner of Emporium will be sentenced April 1 after pleading guilty to theft by deception and writing bad checks. According to DA Dawn Fink, Turner wrote a check for $82.57 in October 2006 to Buchanan’s Pharmacy in Coudersport on an account which had been closed.

Slippery Roads Blamed for Hebron Township Crash
Coudersport-based state police over the weekend, released details about a one-vehicle mishap taking place last Wednesday evening on Route 44 in Hebron Township. Troopers said Mary Low of Shinglehouse escaped injury when her northbound Buick Regal spun across the snow-covere3d highway to the other side and struck a tree. More news...
