Watch the video. Hal Graham holds a wind meter showing 70 decibles in noise from the wind turbines. This is more than the wind company said there would be, but now that they got them up, tuff SHI-. The people in Potter County need to learn from these lessons. Every one is a target for wind turbines. If you continue to ignore the warnings you soon may be in Hal's shoes.

Also, there is nothing at this point being negotiated for this area. No money, no electric discounts, no tax saving, NO NOTHING. If anyone has proof diferent than what I just said, show it. Not just maybe or hearsay, but actual proof. We are all waiting.

Hey, What about the jobs these wind companys are suppose to bring in. I have been seeing a company called URS around Ulysses surveying for the turbines. This company is based in California, with an office in Buffalo, NY. Why are they not hiring local surveyors. If this is creating jobs for the local people, how is it helping the people in this area. The wind company had a chance to help this area but instead helped Califonia. It looks like another "promise one thing and do another". This is the first mistruth from the wind companys and I am sure it won't be the last.

Folks, you gotta give it up.Can whine till you are blue in the face. The deal has been cut and the Turbines are comming. You think anyone is happy when something changes that affects them directly? There have been plants, roads, plaza's,terminals, factory's,power plants, bridges, dams, truck stops, mini marts, bars, you nameit, built all over this county in places that changed peoples surroundings. It's called progress, and this area could use some!

Could be worse, quite a few people through out North Carolina live with the smell of pig s_ _ t....

Been there and would rather hear a turbine instead. And yes, I have been up close to a moving turbine.

I will now admit that I was a big supporter of wind farms and I would leave my name if I didn't have to worry about the anti wind people who are so obnoxiuos saying "I told you so."
Since I have read more about the issue and since I have heard about the people who live near the wind farms I now thank the county commissioners in Potter County for the way they voted on this issue.
If I left my name everyone would pounce on me and call me a hypocrate but all I am saying is now I can see why the commissioners said we needed to have a limit on the sound that hurts other property owner's.
It takes a big person to admit that he or she was wrong.
I still think wind and solar and methane and biomasses are the way to go but I say it is wrong to force this wind farm noise on the people who live next to you even though you have your own property rights.
If you people in the townships want to let neighbors do this to neighbors then go ahead and pass your own laws and I hope the voters send you a message when it comes election times for you.

I don’t believe a word you said. Just some more BULL CRAP

No one dares to leave their name if they are opposed to wind turbines close to their home. The nasty comments from the pro-wind people (leasors) is brutal.

I love Obama and I love wind turbines. I have 27 of them on my property two right outside my bedroom window to help me sleep at night. The very low decimal sound these things put off can be a soothing way to fall asleep at night.

Remember when, steam locamotives crossed this country hauling people and freight, the roar of the engine the smell of burning soft coal or rembember the sound of the old prop driven airplanes traveling nationwide at low altitudes, these were the sights, sounds and smell of progress, not always pleasant but progress just the same . Now comes the turbines do we stand in the way of progress or embrace it. this country must move forward.

I don't understand why if the wind turbines are so loud you can't stand it why don't you just move away from them.

Because if you can't live there, nobody can. Your house becomes valuless, and you have lost everything you own!!
