Chances to win the quilt can be purchased for $3 each or 2 for $5, by calling Kratzer at 274-0384 or Forsythe at 274-9301, ext. 1436. The winner will be announced at the Relay, held at CCMH, on June 27.

Heard there won't be an antique show this year ~hospice doesn't need the money.

First of all, this is about the Cancer Society's Relay for Life, not hospice. However, I guess since you obviously organized, planned and did all the grunt work, you have the right to talk about the antique show? Instead, let's focus on those who benefit from the Relay and Hospice. As one who has benefited from both organizations, please, don't you dare, degrade either of them.

That is not true. Hospice needs the money but the antique show is 2days of solid work for the volunteers and Hospice barely makes any money from it.

Ever hear of a recession people, Antique dealers want a lot of money for their items.. It is too costly
Hospice always needs money and donations are welcomed.
The cancer rate in this area is very high and you may need hospice one day. It is a very good cause with several of people who donate hours to the cause to help hospice pt's and families.

The quilt is beautiful. Not many people would do all that work and then donate it. I think that is great and it is for a very good cause.

One final note - nothing against Hospice. I have always supported them and will continue to do so. But....There were antique dealers who supported this show for years; who also worked hard for 2 days to support the cause without making a great amount of money. Dealers were not even notified there wouldn't be a show. It would have been nice to at least send out a letter with somewhat of a reason /explanation. Nothing!
