Grace Eloise Corneby, 93, Genesee, PA

Grace Eloise Corneby, 93, of Genesee, PA, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in the Wellsville Care Center, Wellsville, NY.

Born December 28, 1915, in Waverly, NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Jessie McDaniels Norris. She was married to Frank Edward Corneby, who predeceased her in 1994.

She was employed by Blue Swan Mills in Sayre, PA, the Athens Area School District, and as a bookkeeper for Corneby Wood Products and Whitesville Wood Products.

Surviving are: a son, John Corneby of Whitesville, NY; two daughters-in-law, Galyn Corneby of Wellsville, NY and Sherry Corneby of Genesee; and a granddaughter, Elisha Colter of Wellsville. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Frank Norris Corneby, in 2002; two sisters, Clara Norris and Alberta Greene; and a brother, Elwin Norris.

A graveside committal service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 3, 2009 in the Whitesville Rural Cemetery, Whitesville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
