Break Ins Attempted in Shinglehouse

Dear Jim
I am writing to let you and all your readers know that there has been 2 attempts to break-in to my store. I have not heard of it happening to anybody else but it is possible. It could just be because I am new Or because there are electronics in here. I really do not know. I thought it was my duty to let you and everyone else know.
Thank You Very Much

The signature proves its free publicity.

Good Grief! We need more business start ups and you guys are bitching about it. Good luck to your computer store! Maybe they would rather you not say anything and the crooks could break into all stores.

Good Grief is right. That is an extremely RUDE and ROTTEN thing to say! This letter was not an attempt at free advertising...maybe you should re-read the letter.

Maybe those who did the writing of those rude post and the culprits.

This is Jim. This letter was not intended for free plublisity. It was only ment to infor everyone of what was happining. I am sorry if you took it that way. the only reason I singed it that way was because I did not want people thinking it was a hoax. Again I am sorry but I thought it was something that the people of potter county should be informed of.
Sincerely
James Quinn

Crime in our area is on the rise and most likely we will NEVER return to our former safe way of life.

It is ridiculous this guy feels he needs to say he is sorry. Sorry is the sorry butt heads that opened their mouth before thinking. Oh, I bet they can't think.

Now does everyone feel better, the poor guy felt the need to apologize for doing something good.....

Make sure your locks are good, protect your windows, make sure the outside is well lit all the way around the building, as well as keeping a light on inside, notify the police of the attempts. Tell the nearby neighbors also, Maybe install a micro surveillance camerea also somewhere inconspicuous
and forget those 2 morons who posted first.

Well....this is definitely not the place to be looking for help....try reporting it to the police!! If you did report it, then leave it at that.... I agree that his post really appears to be a way to get attention drawn to him. If someone really wanted to break in and steal the electronics, they would get in and it wouldn't just be an "attempt". Since it is an electronics related business, why don't you get a good alarm system and set up some surveillance cameras??

I have set Up the camera and done everything needed. Tho police were the first ones I contacted. I was just simply letting everyone know what was going on because I dont want to see it happen to anyone else.

Jim,

Dont appologize to these people, I feel what you did was right. For other business owners in the area to be aware of such a problem is number one priority, even if you reported it to the police. If I remember correctly there is only one news paper that comes out in Potter County and it only comes out once a week.

Again don't say sorry, people are you just looking for a reason to run their mouths and whine about something.

Jim,

I'm a former member of the Shinglehouse community, and as such, I just wanted to thank you for being an enterprising individual. Shinglehouse is a rough market, but I think you might have hit on something that there is a demand for. So, for that, I congratulate you. The first few years might be a bit tough, but if you fight through them, I bet you have a successful business on your hands!
