COHOCTON SUPERVISOR WRITES LETTER TO WIND COMPANY

Canisteo Valley News
Cohocton Town Supervisor Jack Zigenfuss has written a letter to the CEO of First Wind.

The Cohocton supervisor also asks for First Wind to contact the Town of Cohocton and it's consultants, and for a resolution to the noise problem from the wind turbines.

Noise problem!!?
Thank you Potter County township supervisors for your total lack of support on this issue.
Hope you'll live with total PEACE of mind knowing you've done the worst possible thing by rushing these setbacks through.

Disgusting unGodly disregard for human life and your neighbors.

Too bad the Cohocton supervisors didn't research and review these godforsaken noise makers before they were permitted to be put up and destroy people's lives. I hope Potter County doesn't make the same mistake.

This is hilarious! These whiners are probably the same people who were advocating for the wind turbines in the first place! Can't wait until the wind proponents in Potter County receive their dose of poetic justice! Just too bad for the rest of us but at least we can say we told you so. Kind of like voting for Barack Obama Bin Laden...

Mad Mike you sound way to much like a person that can not think for yourself, and listen to Throush mouth Limbash.

Again !! Go to an area that has wind turbines and make your own informed decision. Do not rely on all this hearsay.

"Do not rely on all this hearsay"

Unbelievable!! There obviously is no way to bring enough evidence to show the problems of wind turbines to some people.

This is a township supervisor that is writing to the wind compnay. What more evidence could you possibly want??

5:14PM--Scientific evidence of any health risk from what ever noise they think they hear. It's a money grab for the township. It's not like they are going to take them down.At least they were smart enough to let them in and then cry noise problem.Duh

You are right, they will never come down!! The people are sentenced to a life of living under wind turbines. It is to late for them. You are also right, it is a money grab by the township. The people have only been a couple months into their life sentence and reality is happening and they don't like it!! I hope the township enjoys the money they sold out for, that is all they have left. Where is the electric going? Any coal plants shut down?
Any less polution? The answer is NO. Nothing but problems and heart ache. We should learn from there mistakes.

Well folks, I was just up by the High Sheldon Windfarm on Rt. 77 in the town of Sheldon, NY (about an hour and a half drive from Coudersport). I stopped by the road, shut off the car, got out, looked and listened. Ya know what I saw and heard? I saw a nice sunny afternoon devoid of any "flicker" and amazing, beautiful machines that can help wean us off of fossil fuels. What did I hear? The wind and some birds chirping. The passing cars were the loudest thing I heard.

Like another poster said. Go see for yourself.

HEARSAY is making a statement that one has no personal knowledge of.
My point was go and see/hear a wind turbine and make up your own mind if there is a problem with them. I am not condemning or condoning them.

I would like to see wind turbines on every ridge in southern potter county!!!! We need to get out of the dark ages!!!!

I was a the High Sheldon Windfarm about a month ago.
As I approached the area, I noticed a lot of trucks along the road. they were from Midas.
When I asked one of the workers what they were doing, he said they were installing mufflers.

Mad Mike are you fat?

These wind turbines are a wonderful thing for everyone. Maybe most of you whiners could careless about your grandchildren but I do care about mine. I want them to live in a planet that isn't all screwed up because of people like you who are so stuck in their ways they don't care if the ends justify the means.

Skinny Happy Mike

Well, considering that wind turbines use no fossil fuels and aren't powered by internal combustion engines, there is no need for "mufflers." Obviously, a line of useless BS.

My goodness! You are intelligent, now aren't you?

I'm so sorry for the confusion. The trucks weren't from Midas. They were from Monroe.
I stand corrected.

Midas, Monroe ... I always get those two mixed up.
