Potter County Financial Study To Be Released Next Week

Results of a comprehensive analysis of Potter County’s finances and governmental operations will be released during a public meeting to be held on Thursday, April 9, at the F. W. Gunzburger County Office Building, immediately following the county commissioners’ business meeting, which starts at 11 am.

Potter County received a grant from the Pa. Dept. of Community and Economic Development that covered the majority of the cost for the study by Susquehanna Group Advisors.

Representatives Kim Wheeler from DCED and Jeff Weiss from SGA will be among the presenters at the April 9 meeting, which will be held in the conference room located just inside the Main Street entrance.

SGA will present the commissioners with a financial planning document that covers short- and long-term goals. The report also includes an analysis of current operations, from staffing and accounting practices to revenue projections and recommendations on real estate tax assessments.

Copies of the SGA report will be available to the public following the April 9 presentation. Potter County Today
