They Did It In Clinton County--We Can Do It Here!!

We Built It, And They Came--700 Runners, Hikers, and Walkers

"I don't want to get over-the-top here, but when we saw the hundreds of cars parked in the fields, we nicknamed it, "The field of dreams," said Hunter. "We built it, and they came."

Hyner Challenge a ‘marriage’ of hikers
Two couples get engaged; Event draws ‘amazing’ crowd

By KEVIN RAUCH — For The Express

HYNER - Approximately 700 runners, hikers and walkers were 'Hynered" Saturday - and two of them even received - and accepted - marriage proposals.

Not all the hikers used the 17-mile journey for so momentous an occasion.

But you can bet your bottom dollar that all the participants considered the process an honor and privilege. More...

People in Clinton County proved it can be done. The organized
an event called the Hyner Challenge. 700 people participated
along with their families and support. It just goes to show that
events can be done to bring people to the mountains. Tourism
Rocks in the PA Wilds. We can make it work too.

Solomon's words photographer-contributor Leo Szczesny just
happened to be in the area when it was happening and took
these photos that he is sharing with us.

The PA Wilds, The Artisians, the Route 6 Heritage,
there's a whole lot going on in Northern Pennsylvania.
The route 6 alternative is the only cross country route
you can get back to nature and get off the hustle &
bustle of the Interstate highway system.

Look at what these people have done and consider what we
could do to make Potter County, and Route 6 the tourist
route and the tourist destination. We can do it. Yes, we can!
