Cheryl Allen's Campaign Gains Momentum with Key Endorsements

State Judicial Candidates Came To Potter County

Former Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge, Patricia McCullough,, a candidate for Commonwealth Court, and traveling companion of Superior Court Judge Cheryl L. Allen, spoke briefly after being introduced last month at the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle. Judge Cheryl L. Allen, who is running this year for a seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, ministered and sang at the Gospel Tabernacle on April 26th. A video of Judge Allen's solo is posted on Faces of the Tabernacle.

AFTER SATURDAY ALLEN TO BE REFERRED TO AS "DOCTOR" IN ADDITION TO JUDGE

PITTSBURGH, PA - In advance of the next Tuesday May 19 Pennsylvania Republican Statewide Primary Election, Judge Cheryl Allen's has picked up key endorsements as she makes her way toward a primary win.

In addition to receiving the Highest Recommendation from the Pennsylvania State Bar Association for elevation to the Supreme Court, and approval in the Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC) and LifePAC voter guides, Judge Allen also received the endorsements of the state's two largest newspapers.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette stated, "A Supreme choice: Cheryl Lynn Allen is best for the Republicans." The endorsement read, "the Bar Association view echoes the local opinion -- this is a judge held in high esteem." She is "an eminently qualified African-American woman who has the potential in the fall to swing black Democrats to the GOP."

The Philadephia Inquirer said, "What further distinguishes Allen as a potential justice is her avowed refusal to go along to get along." They noted her background in her youth as a teacher prior to attending law school. They then said: Allen has been open about her born-again Christianity, but says she looks to her faith to "keep me honest, to function and operate with integrity" and that her courtroom decisions are "based on the letter of the law."

"As I proved with my previous win for the Superior Court, I am the one Republican candidate who can win statewide in November. My grassroots supporters know I walk the walk, not just talk the talk. When I give my word you can count on it. I have a reputation for being tough on crime, but fair. I have promoted fiscal discipline in our court system. I will put those qualities to work on the Supreme Court," said Judge Allen.

Judge Cheryl Lynn Allen is currently serving on the statewide Superior Court. She won a seat on the Superior Court after defeating multiple Republican primary and general election opponents. Judge Allen has close to 20 years of experience sitting on the bench at the state and local level. She has served with distinction, receiving multiple awards including The Juvenile Court Judge's Commission award, The Pennsylvania Commission for Women's History Month award, University of Pittsburgh's Alumni of the Year Award, and others.

After Saturday, in addition to being called Judge, Cheryl will also receive the title Doctor. Saturday she is scheduled to receive an Honorary Doctorate degree from Pennsylvania's Waynesburg University where she will be giving the University's annual Commencement Address.

Please don't forget to vote. It may seem like a little election, but it's your right and a bit of your duty.

No complaining if things don't go the way you want if you don't even cast your own vote.
