Coudersport Elementary Students Give Lions $773.00

Lou Karija photo

Mrs. Budd's and Mrs. Folk's elementary classes are shown in this photo after they presented Ron Angood of the Coudersport Lions Club with a check for $773.00.

The money was collected from their 4th annual yard sale and Earth Day. The class had a Earth Day show and tell, they made a lava lamp from an old soda bottle, they recycled glass jars for Mothers Day vases, told people in Rubbertown to help pick up litter. They also sold lemonade and gave a discount on the 2nd glass if the glass was used twice.

Tracy Budd is in the back row with Lion Ron Angood who will present the check to the Lions Club tonight at the Crittenden hotel while the Lions Club Dist. Gov. is in town.

My son was involved in this and like last year he was so excited even leading up to the event.

He said the lemonade was really good, and both him and my daughter carried their cup with them all week so they could get the .25 cent discount on a refill.

A special Thank you to Mrs Folk & Mrs Budd you ladies do a great job.
