What justifies coaches to allow their teams to run a score up like the Galeton game where it was 24-4? What does that prove? They are kids and this is suppose to be fun.

Get a clue, it wasn't run up. It was 17 nothing in the 1st inning! Shut up and keep your comments to your self!

From what I've seen over the years is that when a team gets a comfortable lead, the coach will forbid their players to advance on wild pitches, and overthrows. They also will not allow their hitters to take more than a single, unless a homerun is hit. Sometimes even that will not prevent a high score.

Kudos to the coaches and players. Keep playing hard.

I was at the game and the score was not run up. Actually, the Galeton pitcher struck out the first two Purple batters but they reached base on the "dropped third strike rule". Had that not happened Galeton would have got two quick outs and the score most likely would not have gotten out of hand that quickly.
