Fire Department Called For Kids Locked In Bedroom

Jersey Shore couple accused of locking their 4 children in room for 4 hours

Sun Gazette
JERSEY SHORE - A Nelson Street couple face charges for allegedly locking their four children - ages 10 months to 7 - in a bedroom for at least four hours on May 2, according to Det. Daniel Hull.

George S. Kibler, 27, and Teresa Wommer, 30, of 219 Nelson St. were charged with four counts each of endangering the welfare of children.

Police said officers responded to the couple's home about 11 a.m. to investigate a report of three children hanging out a second-floor window and yelling for help, Hull said.

After several attempts to enter the home on the first floor failed, police called the Independent Hose Co. tower truck. Using the tower, an officer entered the home through the open window where the children were seen. More...

Now here are the real criminals in our society.

How do you think these children will turn out with such wonderful parents?

This is nothing new for Jersey Shore. I know its hard to believe but they are second in line for crime in that county. A shame because there are alot of good people there.

You know I've been wrestling with this one. People make mistakes, and it's possible that there was some confusion between the mother coming home at 6:30am and the father leaving for work (if that's what he was doing), but in the end it is what is....and it's just inexcusable.

Most of the problems facing our country today are the direct result of bad parenting, and parents that just care more about their own good times than the welfare of their children.

Lets hope this is a wake up call for those parents.

I highly doubt it that the parents learn anything from this. This is coming from generations of bad parenting. They don't know any different.
