Lock Haven Area Plane Crash Reported

Our Cross Fork reporter has just alerted us that a plane crash has occurred outside Lock Haven in Bald Eagle Township.

UPDATE:11:17am
--Just talked to WNEP Newsroom--The plane that crashed is a small plane spraying for gypsy moths. Three planes have been working in that area this week. WNEP TV has a crew on the way to that site.

Our reporter in Cross Fork says:The 54 year old pilot is alive and being Life Flighted to Geisinger Hospital. The "bird" landed in the area of the ice mine cut, just west of Lock Haven along Rt. 120. State Police & emergency crews are securing the wreckage until FAA officials arrive on scene.

I was traveling to Williamsport today and on the local radio, it stated that the plane was spraying for the moths and struck a power line. Piolet was trappeed under the planed and flown to the hospital. Piolet was reported to be alert when rescue crews were there..
