MINOR INJURIES REPORTED IN CRASH INVOLVING TEEN DRIVER
Minor injuries were reported for a 16 year old Port Allegany driver and a 17 year old passenger, also from Port, following a one-vehicle crash Saturday night on the Odin Road just east of the Reed Run Road intersection in Keating Township. Troopers said the youth failed to maintain control of his westbound Toyota Sienna LE and allowed it to go off the edge and strike a tree stump. A second passenger, a 17 year old boy from Emporium was not hurt. The driver is being cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

TWO HIT AND RUN CRASHES PROBED
Authorities say they have a suspect in a hit and run taking place Wednesday afternoon on Third Street in the Village of Roulette. A gray tractor, towing a large garage on a red lowboy, struck a cable and telephone wire, red fence and street sign just south of Railroad Avenue at about 2:00 pm. The vehicle continued on, turning right onto Burleson Street. Troopers are also looking for an orange colored car, possibly a Mitsubishi Eclipse, with a loud aftermarket exhaust, black rear “wing and black ground effects which caused some damage late Saturday night in the Village of Costello. Witnesses told police that the vehicle went off the road while rounding a left curve at a high rate of speed, traveled through a lawn and struck three metal stakes before re-entering the highway, headed south.

IDENTITY THEFT INVESTIGATED
Coudersport-based state police are investigating an access device fraud victimizing a Shinglehouse man last week. Someone obtained a debit card number belonging to Steven Hathaway and used it to purchase more than $447 worth of goods from shoebuy.com and crazy8.com over the internet.

THIEVES TAKE PUPPY AND OTHER ITEMS FROM GENESEE HOME
Thieves removed several items last week from a house on the Hickox Road in Genesee Township belonging to Robert Zabala. Between 7:45 pm Thursday and 7:00 am Friday, someone made off with a blue Yamaha Raptor 700CC ATV with red lettering, an unknown model gray Sanyo DVD player, a paintball gun with black handle and a seven week old black and white Boxer and Springer Spaniel mix puppy.
