Solomon's words photo by Lois Lane

Both drivers were injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash at the McKean-Potter county line on Route 6, 200 feet east of the Sartwell Creek Road at Burtville.

According to Coudersport based state police, the accident occurred when Laura Majot, 24, of Coudersport, pulled onto Route 6, in front of a car driven by Peggy Bundy, 44 of Roulette. Bundy was unable to avoid impacting the Majot car, and both vehicles stopped in the roadway, blocking both lanes.

Majot had minor injuries, Bundy's injuries were termed to be moderate, and a 17 year old female passenger in the Bundy car was reported uninjured. All three were transported to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport by EMS ambulances from Port Allegany and Roulette.

Both drivers and the passenger were reported to be using seat belts.

Majot will be charged with a vehicle code violation of "vehicle entering or crossing highway".

Route 6 was closed in both directions for nearly an hour. State Police were assisted at the scene by crews from the Roulette Fire Department and ambulance, Port Allegany ambulance, and Port Allegany Fire Department. Medics responded from McKean and Potter Counties.
