Unofficial Potter County Results

electionresults12Unofficial results from the Municipal Primary are shown below. Successful candidates will have their names appear as party nominees in the Nov. 3 Municipal Election. All results posted on Potter County Today are unofficial until such time as the county’s Canvassing and Computing Board convenes beginning on Friday to conduct the official count.

That board will eventually determine which of the candidates for District Attorney and Coroner received the most write-in votes from Democrats to earn that party’s nominations. An informal tally of Democratic write-ins from 15 percent of the county’s voting districts showed Andy Watson with about 60 percent and Dawn Fink with approximately 40 percent of votes cast for District Attorney, while Kevin Dusenbury had a wide margin over Benjamin Olney for County Coroner.

The totals below do not reflect six absentee ballots as well as 12 provisional ballots that may or may not ultimately be counted. With all 33 of the county’s voting districts reporting, unofficial results are as follows:

Republican:

President Judge: Steve Minor 1,737, Dan Glassmire 1,100, Bob Kuhl 600

District Attorney: Andy Watson 1,842, Dawn Fink 1,574

Coroner: Kevin Dusenbury 2,168, Benjamin Olney 1,251

Democrat:

President Judge: Dan Glassmire 580, Steve Minor 561, Bob Kuhl 292

District Attorney (write-in): totals unavailable.

Coroner (write-in): totals unavailable.

Kudos to the Commissioners and the other county employees involved in posting the election results online last night. As far as openness and access to government it was a good service and something that ought to have been done long ago.

Mr. Jones...also thank you for your late night election coverage. It's good to see Potter County joining the 21st Century.

Dan Glassmire has earned my respect and my vote in November.

In my opinion he is the best man for the job. He offers a much needed fair and neutral mindset to the bench.

I don't know Mr. Minor very well, all i see is a lot of signs. I'm not so sure a career of filing away juveniles is quite enough experience.

May the best man, not advertiser, win.
