Budget Talks Take Center Stage

The state tax on your gross earnings are 3.07% now! The Federal tax lowered so the working people could take more of their hard earned money home with them each week, now Rendell wants part of that for State OVER spending!

Rendell should NOT be allowed to add anything more to the state expenses, lets try to hold the line and keep within what they all ready have to work with!

No new spending, keep the state mandated programs at the expense level they are, and if cuts need to be made look to Harrisburg for that! Cut back on the amount of appointed paid positions 1st!

We should really hold Sen. Scarnati's and Rep. Causer's feet to the fire and demand that they don't increase our taxes. Furthermore, if they cut funding to state mandated programs (as CCAP says they might do) they should be held accountable for that. Taxing more will not help us out of the economic crisis we're in. It will only make it worse.

That may mean we will lose some program locally that we like, but so be it if it happens. This state or county cannot afford increased taxes.

Don't they realize most taxpayers in Pennsylvania are financially strapped?

We should unite and refuse to pay any tax increase.
What will they do, put us all in jail?

You can't get blood from a rock.
