Final Election Results Not Available Yet--Counting Continues

Potter County
With many political candidates and their supporters standing by in anticipation of official election results, members of the Potter County Canvassing and Computing Board will resume their work this morning (Monday, June 1) compiling the count from the May 19 Municipal Primary.

Director of Elections Sandy Lewis, who heads the board, said the count has been extended due to the large number and variety of write-in votes. She hopes to complete the task by Friday, June 5.

The board’s work, which is required by state law to certify returns, is time-consuming and must be meticulous. Once the official count is certified, the public will know the results of everything from the countywide races to contests for school board, township supervisor, tax collector and other local nominations.

May 19 to June 5.
Yup sounds like a month to me.
On the DILDINE CALENDAR maybe.

I have to agree it's taking a long time whether you're using the Julian or Dildine calendar. Good thing a state or national election isn't hinging on Potter County's vote.

Get them votes counted and surprise us before Friday! Thanks.

With today's technology anything over 7 business days to have totals is TOO long!

I agree with 4:50 & 7:09 posters!!!

How long is this going to take? With the machines they count the votes AND the write-ins.
