John & Nancy Gregg Preparing To Rebuild After Christmas Fire Destroyed Their Home

John and Nancy Gregg watched the other day as Chad Moses
leveled their former home at 98 Burleson Avenue in Roulette
in preparation for rebuilding. Their home was very severely
damaged last December 23rd while they were enroute to visit
family in the Philadephia area. The fire marshall later determined
that the fire started where a nail had been driven into an electric
wire years ago, and it finally shorted the wire, igniting the home.
Greggs were grateful it happened while they were away, as the
point of origin was directly above their bedroom. Firefighters
from Roulette, Port Allegany and Coudersport extinguished the
smoky fire in short order, but Greggs decided to build new, rather
than attempting to restore the damaged nome. Greggs have been
living in Sweden Valley and are looking forward to getting back to
Roulette.
