Excessive Texting
State Police have charged a Coudersport woman, Tiffany Lynn Sheehy, 33, with Harassment for texting numerous messages to another woman over a period of June 20th to June 25th, after being asked to stop.

The victim is Crystal Green, of 36 Church Street in Port Allegany. The location was listed as a residence on Whitney Creek Road in Hebron Township, Potter County. Sheehy will answer the charge at District Judge Barbara Easton's court in Shinglehouse.

You people better get the facts straight before you start posting information on here.

These charges are being disputed. So instead of ruining someone's reputation why don't you wait and see the outcome.

From what I see, all that Jim has posted was the report given to him by PSP. How is that posting misinformation?

uhhmm, i believe it says she will answer the charge in court, what more do you want?

Anonymous said...

There will not be any charges because they will be dropped. Charges aren't valid. Why spread rumors before facts are known?

Sounds like if you have to complain so much maybe they might be guilty... just something to think about..

Just who decides what "excessive" texting is? It could be alot of different answers depending on who you ask. I certainly don't know how any charges could be filed. This is getting ridiculous. I would think the content of the texts would be more the issue than the number of texts sent.

well from this report only thing i see wrong with this report is the dates.. when one is told to stop texting it means to stop texting.. why spend $15.00 to have your number changed when you tell them to stop and they won't. then what else can ya do?.file charges.? yes

"only thing i see wrong with this report is the dates.."

What do the dates have to do with it?

I had this problem also from an individual and I finally called Verizon and had the number blocked. That individual can no longer call me or text me and it cost nothing for me to do it. Just thought I would let you know that option is available. It doesnt matter how many messages their are or what the content if you dont want someone to message you and you inform them of that then the messages should stop. If not its just unacceptable. Especially if those messages are costing you money.

Just a little more information for anyone who is interested. My experience with Verizon: If you are being harassed, you can call Verizon and have your phone number changed at no charge. They are very helpful. Excessive texting, after you ask someone to stop, is harassment. If you don’t have unlimited texting (and I don’t) it can get very expensive.

Is there even cellular phone service in the Whitney Creek area?

After the recipient of text messages says "Stop," then it becomes harrassment. A police officer recently told a victim to clearly text the offender the message to stop texting. Once that is done, it is harrassment and the offender will be held accountable. That offender had to face charges. It helped for a while, then she found a way to continue by using someone elses's cell phone!

there is no cell service in whitney creek, and that isnt where the texts where sent to. that is where the victim lived prior to port allegany. the fact of the matter is. the accused was asked to stop and didnt.its a simple case of harrasment, pull the cell records and in this case they will be.ppl add there 2 cents worth and dont have a clue what is going on.the accused is the only one on here defending herself.
want more dirt put on this little comment area. just ask. i have all the answers and can prove by cell records and texts messages. DRAMA ,DRAMA,DRAMA. and by what what meant by the dates being wrong, is the PSP took the date of the filing of the charges and not the dates of the text messages. if ya want to cheat on your spouse dont do it with texts simple.

But still you wonder
Who's cheatin' who, who's being true
Who don't even care anymore
It makes you wonder
Who's doing right with someone tonight
And who's car is parked next door

If someone calls you and you do not like what they are saying, HANG UP!

If someone sends you a text, ignore it or delete it!

The sender gets no satisfaction from the call or text if there is no REPLY!

Do not play into their game, attention is what they are seeking...don't give them any!
