“beloved husband”

Coneville, PA---Thomas J. Tracey, Jr., 65, of Coneville, PA, formerly of Philadelphia and Cape May, NJ, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, June 30, 2009.

Born April 24, 1944 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Thomas J. and Margaret Cox Tracey, Sr. In Melbourne, Florida he married Roberta A. Tripp, who survives.

Tom graduated from St. Thomas Moore High School in Philadelphia and was a self employed printer for many years in Center City Philadelphia.

He was a former member of the Oswayo Valley Rod and Gun Club in Millport. He loved being on his boat fishing in the back bays of Florida. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Michael (Judith) Tracey of Deptford, NJ; a daughter, Michelle Tracey of Lawnside, NJ; two grandsons; three step-children: Tracey (Rod) Medeiros-Rodrigues of Aviano, Italy, Joseph Medeiros of New Bedford, Massachusetts, and David (Melanie) Medeiros of Fairhaven, Massachusetts; and three step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Tracey; and his longtime companion, Marie Walsh.

At Tom’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Ceres United Methodist Church, 9289 School Street, Shinglehouse, PA 16748; the Shinglehouse Food Cupboard, c/o Jean Taylor, 9451 School Street, Shinglehouse, PA 16748; or to charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
