Last Day To Sign Up For Town Wide Yard Sales In Coudersport Is Friday

81 Yard Sales So Far

Hi Jim-

Well, we're down to the last day of registration for townwide yard sales. I have a total of 81 people who have signed up- some are combining their efforts and I have 15 of them that are located out of town in areas such as "The Spot" on Route 6, three miles from Coudersport; one on Mockingbird Lane, three on Sunrise Ridge road off 872; two more in the Hebron area off Route 44; two on Morley Drive on the North Hollow road, one on the Dingman Run road, one on Dividing Ridge road, one on Prouty road and one on Oak Lane off 872.

The reason for listing these areas early is so your readers can be aware that there are a lot of sales outside Coudersport as well as in town, so if you're traveling from Galeton, Austin, Shinglehouse, Port Allegany, Ulysses,or other areas, look for the signs and stop by and see what they have to offer.

I've suggested that everyone be in good spirits and be prepared to "make a deal" especially if you don't want to drag all your goodies back into your homes. I also caution all of you to be fair to the sellers- many of whom are selling things to raise money for their children's school clothes. One seller said she's using her proceeds to buy tires for her car. Look at solomonswords next week for a complete listing.

I'll be taking the maps and listings to Lagreu Printing on Sunday or Monday so we should have them ready by the middle of the week. They'll be available at Buchanan's Drugstore, Maple Tree Restaurant, Jubilee, Costa's, Sheetz, the Right Stuff Antique Mart and various yard sale locations. Good luck, have fun and hope you find that "treasure" you've been looking for. Thanks again to you, Jim, as well as the Leader-Enterprise, the Endeavor and the Chamber of Commerce for your support.

PS- Pray for good weather.
