Marie E. Kloss, 88, of 62 Hedgehog Lane, Bradford, PA

Marie E. Kloss, 88, of 62 Hedgehog Lane, passed away, Thursday, August 27th, 2009 at UPMC Northwest Seneca, in Seneca.

Born July 3, 1921, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Nellis) Whelan.

On May 22, 1943, in Bradford she married Paul Kloss who died September 27, 1976.

Mrs. Kloss was a 1939 graduate of Bradford High School. She had worked at the Bradford Hospital in the dietary department

She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Paulette (Caskey) Francis, wife of Tom Francis of Kennerdell, three brothers, Jack (Betty) Whelan, Fent (Doris) Whelan, and Dick Whelan, two grandsons, James Paul (Barbara) Caskey of Bradford, and Jason Allen Caskey of Steamboat Springs CO, two great grandchildren, Sarah Ann Caskey, and Jason Tyler Caskey, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Patricia L, Kloss, three brothers Charles Whelan, William Whelan, Jr., and Kenneth Whelan.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00AM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main Street, at which time funeral and committal will be held with Rev. Leo Gallina, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating.
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
