Mary Anne Fetter, 38, Baltimore, MD formerly of Smethport, PA

SMETHPORT- Mary Anne Fetter, 38, of Baltimore, MD formerly of Smethport, died unexpectedly Thursday (Aug. 13, 2009) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born October 10, 1970, in Bradford, PA, she was a daughter of Kerry S. and Betty Swartz Fetter.

Ms. Fetter was a graduate of the Smethport Area High School, Class of 1988, Pennsylvania State University, 1992, BS in Economics, and earned a law degree from Baltimore University.

She was a self-employed contractor in the construction industry, working around the Baltimore area the past few years.

She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Baltimore unit, and was a loyal Penn State Alumni.

She lived with and cherished her devoted canine companion, Cisco.

Surviving are her parents, Kerry and Betty Fetter of Smethport, paternal grandma, Ruth A. Fetter of Rebuck, PA, maternal grandma, Jean Swartz of Harleysville, PA; two sisters, Linda S. Fetter of Rochester, NY, Karin J. Fetter of Bradford; 3 nephews; Jadon Carr, Riley Carr and Eli Voss all of Rochester, NY; 4 uncles, 2 aunts, 8 cousins; many life long friends from Smethport, and many friends from Baltimore, MD.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandfathers.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a future date and place to be announced.

Memorials can be made to Hamlin Memorial Library, Smethport, any SPCA organization, or Finger Lakes Donor Recovery, 30 Corporate Woods, Suite 220, Rochester, NY 14623.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
