State Police In Pursuit Of Driver Who Fled On Foot

Police Search For Driver Who Fled
Sirens cut through the darkness in the Roulette area, as a state trooper attempted to stop a black truck Tuesday night.

Troopers pursued the truck to Port Allegany and south to the Village of Wrights and to a dead end on Hamilton Hollow road.

The driver abandoned his truck at a dead end on Hamilton Hollow and fled on foot into the woods.

State Police from Coudersport, Kane and Emporium are now searching for the driver of a black truck that the Coudersport trooper pursued. Port Allegany Police are on scene assisting troopers.

why were the troopers pursuing him?
3 counties of troopers and a hellicopter?
did he commit mass murder?
holy crap...

Come on now, most of those troopers are faily new to the force and get a thrill out of this! Besides if you run from the police in a vehical then on foot the aren't just going to say ok forget it we quit.

If he left his vehicle and fled by foot...you have the information you need via license plate, registration card and hopefully insurance card.

Impound the vehicle and start your paperwork...process a warrant for his arrest!

No one wants to face the consequences of their actions. Pull over, say yes sir and no sir. If you didn't do anything then you don't have reason to flee. Could have turned tragic if this idiot would have caused an accident. You think they won't track him down? It's only a matter of time before he walks out of the woods hungry.

They were pursuing him because he didnt use his tuen signal....

Seemed like they were goin 100 mph on the back road when they zoomed past last night.

Unbelievable! Are you people for real??? Get a life and quit complaining about everyone that has a job and not afraid to do it.

Where does it say anything about a helicopter? Anyway, I'm sure the guy running from the cops wasn't doing anything wrong......Also if you look where the guy bailed out it is right around where Potter Mckean and Cameron county all meet. That might explain why troopers from all 3 counties were there.

The reason for three counties worth of state troopers is because of the short fall on staff.

I wonder if the "black truck" was a chevy S-10 type with a cap on it ????

So what if a kid gets killed. It adds another $130 to the state's slush fund....
The PSP in Potter County are nothing but a bunch of young gear heads with a legal means to persue their passion/obsessions!

they r looking for eric lamont

holy s^*t BUCKY PHILLIPS on the loose again
the hellicopter info was from the scanner at 11pm last night
also the name and description of the man running.....

was just wondering ....this was over failure to use a turn signal???
that is a waste of my taxes....not like they didnt know who they were looking for at that time

I was just getting home and walking through my door when they went flying by. If he's running just to have fun, then find him and put him away. Evidently he has no respect for himself or anyone else.

the truck is a black stepside chevy...they are actually looking for eric lamont.....with his background and history with the law that's why he took off and ran...he will get caught sooner or later.....

Anonymous said...

Yeah, All they need to do is post the vehicle, and it would take seconds for people to post who it is, and it would be free of charge, would cost no tax dollars, and nobody gets hurt...

7:49am - You might want to brush up on your geography - Roulette is pretty far from Cameron County.

Anonymous said...

its not far when u head up dexter hollow that comes out the other side by sizerville

Anonymous said...

No, it's not very far from Cameron county if you know your geography. I highly doubt the chase was just over a turn signal. If that's the case, why did he run? If that's all it is, he would have pulled over. It may have been the reason why the police started, but he ran for something else

Some of the people on here need to get your stories right about this case. Eric Lemont has done alot of stuff, not to mention his license was suspended. He will get caught and it will be more trouble with him. They did have the helicoper out last night, I seen that.

Does anyone know if Eric came out of the woods alright or did the bears eat him. Was he injured running from the police in the dark? Should we be searching the woods for him? Please respond if you know he is ok.

Why do we even have license plates on our vehicles?? I thought it was to identify us.
These police chases are just a good excuse for the "young bucks" to get a thrill now and then.
Hey, call me crazy, but, I don't see a need for them.

License plates are another tax.

If the troopers were not doing their job, you'd rip about that too...I have to wonder how many of you whining about "your tax dollars" being wasted are even paying taxes--and if you're the same people who were whining about there not being enough police protection in that area. Obvioulsy, if they ran his plate (standard practice when someone disregards a traffic law) they would have known his license was susppended (if such was the case) so apparently they were not chasing him "just because he failed to use his turn signal," and I would imagine if he fled the scene for something that minor that perhaps he had a little more to hide.......go figure.
