Barto, PA Man Accused Of Sexual Assault On Perkiomenville, PA Boy

Boy, 13, Sexually Assaulted
A 62 year old Barto, PA man was jailed in Potter County for Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a thirteen year old male from Perkiomenville, PA, according to a State Police news release today.

Richard Clay Rinehart, Sr., 62, of Barto, PA, is accused of performing oral sex on a male juvenile and then having the juvenile perform oral sex on him. Rinehart would also fondle the boy's genitals with his hands and have the boy fondle his genitals.

The sexual assaults occurred once in November, 2008, once in December, 2008, when the boy was 12, and again on October 8 and 9, 2009 at a camper trailer at 565 Odin Road in Keating Township.

Rinehart was arrested and arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Delores Bristol who set bail at $150,000.00. Rinehart was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Potter County Jail.

sexual assult is horrible. Anyone that can do such a thing, should be placed in the towm square, striped of his clothes and torcherd. This might sound cruel, maybe if a crime was treated as such there would be less of it happening in the world.

The details are not necessary. Please consider not posting the more graphic details in cases like these. It victimizes the victim all over again, and also makes the reader feel somewhat victimized.

Ummm I don't feel victimized reading it...however, I feel outraged at the man accused.

Maybe I am the only one that feels this way? because it seems to me like this behavior just keeps happening...every week or so some other pedophile is caught hurting our children and all I ever hear is people sticking up for the accused....then they go to court and get a slap on the wrist.

Maybe more people should feel the anger I do when it comes to this sort of thing. Maybe then our "system" will start to work for once and these predators will be removed from our society!

But if there wasn't details someone would complain on not being able to know about what happened. You may shake your head, but you know thats what would happen. It would be nice to think that everyone was a caring as we want. But I agree, its embarrassing for the boy to have to posted on the internet of what happened.

Folks, yes, the type of behavior described in this story is atrocious...however, innocent until proven guilty is still the way things operate in the US. We don't yet know the full story and that will be something for the jury to decide...If it happened, throw the book at him...if it's a make believe story, throw the book at the accuser...

Rarely is the book thrown at the accuser regardless of age even if there is proof they lied.

It sounds stupid, but if that happened it would discourage the ones that lied from doing the right thing and dropping charges. It could even discourage the ones that are telling the truth from taking the gamble that charges could backfire.

You have got to be kidding me. Why would you even post something like that. You are a sick individual and you need serious mental help.

If u don't like the details, DON'T READ THEM! U could see from the headline what happened, so why read it? If you check this site daily then you know that the details are just about always posted! Yes, it is terrible that this happened to a child, (anyone for that matter), but that is all anyone does anymore is bitch that there are not enough details or that there are too many details! This is Jim's site and he can post what he wants...

Where's the parents in all of this?
The parents should have known something had happened to their son when his behavior/attitude had changed from what they normally see. That is the first sign. Obviously, the parents have no idea where their kid is or what they are doing, you need to ask the questions, "Who, what, when, where, why and how". There is no longer any parental dicipline anymore, you spank your child as punishment and they call CPS. LOAD of CRAP. Don't tell me how to dicipline my kids, when your own are running all over town raising HELL!!! I do have sympathy for this boy, he should NOT have been through this ordeal, but the parents should have been aware something was not right with their son.

I know some very, very good parents who have had awful things happen to their children. They were diligent in watching and knowing where their children were and bad things still happened. To blame this on the parents is wrong. Blame the criminal.

how do you get all these details when all of the local newspapers dont even have all these details To much info and to all thoughs individuals you think that its okay to put all these details your just as sick as the one who wrote it. I hope the child or his parents dont see this article

Too bad he didn't live in Shinglehouse. The perverts there never have to post bail, and are out on the streets, violating terms of bail by drinking in bars, and nothing done about it even when the police are notified.
