Military Mom Sale Successful

Thank You Note:

The Military Mom and her family wish to thank those in the community who contributed in some way to the success of the Yard Sale turned Garage Sale in Port Allegany last Saturday.

Whether you donated items for the sale, or stopped in and purchased a "treasure," or dropped something into the Donation container, we thank you so very much.

One anonymous contributor just blew us away with their unexpected generousity. You know who you are and we thank you.

Against all odds, the sale was a great success and your participation was so appreciated. Please look for a picture in the next few weeks of our Air Force grad.

We want to openly thank Solomons Words for posting our ad at no cost. We know this contributed greatly to the success of the cause. Let none of us be guilty of ingratitude for the kindness extended to all who participate on this blog site.

God bless you all and God bless America!

Make sure that you take the bus trip to downtown San Antonio, you have to see the Alamo and make sure that you go to the USO, there your son can get discount tickets for the river walk boat tour- you must go on that, it was wonderful! I loved the river walk! And if you have any extra spending money, make sure you take that too! Lots of shops on the river walk! And tell your son Congrats from everyone in Potter County!

Kudos to those who helped make this happen. My son will be graduating in December, 447th Signal Battalion at Fort Gordon, GA. Unfortunately, we do not have the finances to spare, but are proud of him, nonetheless! Ever since he was a little boy, he's always wanted to keep the Army tradition in the family, since all of his grandfathers have served dating back to the American Revolution. Although many may not agree with our country's presence in other nations, it is still appropriate that we follow a mission similar to the Army for each other as neighbors and friends. The Army mission states four simple things:
"I will always place the mission first."
"I will never accept defeat."
"I will never quit."
"I will never leave a fallen comrade."
With Veteran's Day just around the corner, consider helping a friend or neighbor in need and say thank you to our military personnel who serve to protect and defend our freedom!

Thank's to all for the good wishes and great advice. I am actually the future Airman's grandmother, speaking for the family. My husband and I visited the Alamo years ago, and the River Walk, etc. And you are so right, what a fantastic time we had. That will be the first place we hit as soon as we can get that young man off base. I have two other grandsons in the military, one a Marine and yet another Airman, all left for basic training in the last 12 months. As well as a nephew in the Army who is doing his fourth hitch in Iraq! So proud of these fine young men and women. 12:32, thank you for sharing. God bless them and the families that love them!
