Patrick J. Fannin, 61, of 231 E. Allegany Ave., Emporium, PA died unexpectedly at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA on Wednesday (October 14, 2009) morning.
He was born Apr 30, 1948 in St. Marys a son of the late William and Eloise Schwab Fannin.
On July 15, 1966 in Emmanuel Episcopal Church he married Marie Carlson Fannin, who Survives.
Mr. Fannin graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1966 and attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh. He worked for the Department of Revenue and for PennDOT many years & retired from DCNR. After retirement he worked as a private consultant.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Emporium Council #990, Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge #368, Emporium, Miller-Raffaele Post 6221 VFW, Emporium Lodge #382, F.and A.M., where he was a 32nd Degee Mason and a member of the Emporium Country Club where he served as president for over 10 years.
He was a coach for Teener League Baseball, fifth & sixth grade boys basketball and the junior varsity boys basketball teams at CCHS for many years. For over 32 years he was a PIAA basketball official and also was an avid golfer.

Mass of Resurection at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, East Fourth Street, Emporium on Monday at 11:00 AM with Father Matt Ryan, Rector, officiating.
Visitation with Video Tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00-5:00 PM where Masonic Service will take place at 4:45 PM
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
