Pitt-Bradford plans admissions open house for COLUMBUS DAY

Pitt-Bradford plans admissions open house for COLUMBUS DAY

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Office of Admissions will be hosting an open house for prospective students on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 12.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. in the Satterwhite Lobby of Hanley Library, followed by welcoming remarks in the Bromeley Family Theater, located in Blaisdell Hall.

A presentation by Dr. Michael Stuckart, associate professor of anthropology, will address college academics, after which a student panel organized by Student Government Association president Timothy Woughter and Student Activities Council president Lyndon Orinion will answer any questions about student life.

Members of the Admissions staff will be available to discuss the admissions process, and prospective students and parents will then be invited to tour campus. The event will conclude with lunch in the KOA Dining Hall.

“The program continues to grow as most of our visitors take advantage of the long weekend and the Columbus Day holiday,” said Vicky Pingie, associate director of admissions. “This event is designed to showcase our beautiful campus and to see how the Pitt-Bradford faculty, staff and students ‘go beyond’.”

Registration is appreciated, but not required. For more information or to register, call 1-814-362-7555 or 1-800-872-1787, or register online at www.upb.pitt.edu/fallopenhouse.aspx.
