Following his discharge, he returned to Olean and worked for the former Clark Bros. Co., now Dresser-Rand Industries.

Mr. Erickson then moved to Erie and began employment with General Electric Co. where he worked for a few years before moving to the Corry, PA area in the late 1970s.

For many years, he worked at the former Ajax Iron Works and in the mid 1980s started working at Knox-Western Inc. in Erie. He retired from there as a design engineer in the early 2000s but continued to work as a consultant until the present time.
