Ludlow Driver Hits Guard Rail After Swerving to Miss Car

Girl Not Injured
A Ludlow driver was not injured Thursday afternoon at 4:16 pm on Route 321 in Wetmore Township when she swerved to avoid a car that had pulled out in front of her, and hit guard rails.

Marissa Walters, 17, of Ludlow, PA was traveling northbound, in a 2005 Ford Taurus, on Route 321, as a 2001 GMC Sonoma driven by Stephen F. Miller, 70, of Kane, PA was entering Route 321 from a driveway located on the western berm.

Miller continued northbound in the right lane. Walters swerved left crossing the southbound lane and onto the southbound shoulder, striking a guard rail, then rotating counter-clockwise coming to rest in the southbound lane facing east.

Miller will be charged with a violation (3324). Kane troopers did not list a description of the charge.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Most of the time, adults are just as careless of drivers as teens.

Saturday, November 21, 2009 12:49:00 PM EST What do you have against teenagers? She wasn't at fault for this accident. A 70 year old was and was charged.

and just how old were you when you got your license and if someone pulled out in front of you what would you do just hit them maybe when you get to a certain age you should have to have a driving test again to make sure that old people are still safe drivers

Besides that , POLICE don't let teenagers , or anybody, for that matter on the road. Last I knew you take a driver test and earn the right to a drivers licence so unless they raise the age to 21, teenagers will continue to drive. I've seen some really OLD people out there putt- putting along who should not be behind the wheel either.
