Police are still seeking the identity of a body that was found in the Delaware River.

Autopsy: Woman had C-section

MANSFIELD - An autopsy performed on an unidentified woman whose body was pulled from the Delaware River this month revealed that she underwent cesarean child delivery, the New Jersey State Police said.

The finding indicates that the woman may have a relatively young child, state police spokesman Sgt. Stephen Jones said.

The body was discovered by a kayaker about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 14 along the banks of Newbold Island near the Mansfield-Bordentown Township border. A cause of death has not been released.

The woman was described as about 18 to 24 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and about 120 pounds. She had dark hair and two distinctive tattoos: a rainbow-colored phoenix on her shoulder blade and a red flower on her ankle. More...
