Sneak Peek at 2010 Potter County Visitor Guide Cover

I'd like to give everyone a sneak peak at the 2010 Cover, by talented graphic designer Debbie Plummer. We are printing 40,000 copies of the 40 page brochure.

The brochure will be available by Februrary 2010. The cover features Fishing at Berger Lake in Galeton. The photo was taken by Curt Weinhold.

The elaborate distribution of the guide includes direct mail to 6,000 potiential visitors who are planning to visit Potter County, 15,000 will be distributed at the 15 Welcome Centers, 15,000 distributed at over 15 local events and travel shows. Around 4,000 copies are also supplied to local businesses throughout the year. An electronic copy is also available for download from the PCVA website

The guide will feature a wide range of activities including hunting, fishing, geocaching, both downhill and x-country skiing. In the back of the guide is a lodging amenity chart and a PCVA membership directory.

PCVA members get a free listing in the guide with thier membership.

Feature Advertising space is still available if anyone is interested. Advertisers must be PCVA members in good standing. Space starts at $250 for an eighth page ad, that is less than 1 penny per ad.

Did a LOCAL printer do this? Or was it sent outside of Potter County like so many are.

I would imagine they shopped for the best price.

Why would they choose Galeton, Austin is a much nicer looking town.

I think the old paper mill ruins in Austin should be on the cover !

Could the printer provide you with the pdf copy of the guide? You could have that available online so that people can download and/or print their own copy. Would save the PCVA on shipping costs and printing costs. What do you think?
