Emma McCutcheon Zenner, 92, of 836 Frenchtown Rd. Bridgeport, Conn., formerly of 1135 West Washington Street, Bradford, PA

Emma McCutcheon Zenner, 92, of 836 Frenchtown Rd. Bridgeport, Conn., formerly of 1135 West Washington Street, Bradford, passed away, Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport CT.

Born May 11, 1917 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Harriet Grace (Rook) McCutcheon. She was a 1936 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 22,1941, in St. Bernard Catholic Church she married John Edward Zenner who died on January 18, 2007.

After high school she had been employed by the YWCA. She had also worked as a clerical worker at W. R. Case and Son's Cutlery Company, at Bradford Printing Company for her father and then at Montgomery Ward.

She was a member the First United Methodist Church, the Current Events Club, Woman's Literary Club and volunteered for the American Red Cross. She was also a former member of the Pine Acres Golf Club.

Surviving is one son, John M. (Martha Lund) Zenner of Bridgeport,CT, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Gayle Fox, Erla Stickles, and Margaret Lindemuth.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, December 14,2009, from 3-5 & 7-9PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, where funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday, December 15th at 10:00am with the Rev. Dennis Swineford, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
