Helen E. Hanchett, 85, of Coudersport, PA

Helen E. Hanchett, 85, of Coudersport, PA died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.

Born on July 17, 1924 in Crosby, PA she was the daughter of Elwin and Evelyn Marsh. On September 21, 1944 she married Richard L. Hanchett, who died on November 7, 1985.

Mrs. Hanchett was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Jerry A. (Catherine) Hanchett of Coudersport, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, one great-grandson, two brothers, Edward Marsh and Robert Marsh, and two sisters, Dorothy Morey and Marion Marsh.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Rathbone Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hebron Union Church or to the Hebron Center Christian School, 1149 SR 44 North, Coudersport, PA 16915.
