I’m not against green energy, this is just not the right place for them.

Allegany residents sound off about wind turbines

ALLEGANY - A number of Allegany residents spoke out against the proposed wind-turbine farms for the Chipmonk area during the Town of Allegany Planning Board’s public hearing Monday for zoning amendments related to commercial wind-energy farms. More...

Look at that....a former Wind Turbine Engineer confirmed what the poeple against the wind farm in Ulysses are saying. "they become noiser as they age and become dirty"
That is a good article, they must be kept away from peoples homes.

Wow, really?

They get dirty as they get older?

No way!

Well, that does it for me, screw that, give me some good 'ole radiation and a few dozen other cancerous materials in my drinking water instead!

No shit! Haaaa

I hear so many people that want clean green energy, just not in the area that will effect them...wth?

Suck it up people!

My thoughts are.. If they find an old abandoned Farm with lots of acreage put the Wind Turbines up. If you live on that abandoned farm and you do not want Wind Turbines up well you probably should not live there anyways since it is abandoned. There is a growing number of farms closing up in the Potter County area, and you always see old barns falling in with no signs of living near them. I say buy these lands up and do the Wind Turbines screw the ones crying about noise and dirt.

How do you live on an "abandoned farm"??? Good Grief.....just use the County's wind ordinance and there is no issue as there was a lot of research put into this. Bring them in just keep them away from peoples houses. Thats all

"just use the County's wind ordinance and there is no issue"

Well I am thankful we DON'T have to use the County's wind ordinance, townships and boroughs can use their own ordinances!!! That was the biggest waste of tax dollars of 2009 if you ask me!

Darn Save God's Country idiots!

Again, I think the only reason people are complaining is because the wind turbines are not on their land and they are mad they aren't getting any money. Suck it up. A little noise & dirt never killed anyone ; you'll be fine. Just be happy for the good fortune of those around you.
