Miss Celie and her babies - A Thanksgiving Story

I have a foster mama kitty (Miss Celie) and her 4 week old "herd" of adorable kittens that will be ready for adoption at the end of January. My previous foster baby, Misha, went to a wonderful family.

I'd like to introduce you to Miss Celie and her babies. Miss Celie came to my home in early November from another foster who needed some help. I can get her shot records. Her babies were born on Thanksgiving Day. I'm introducing you to them now and will send periodic updates on their progress. They all will be ready for adoption at the end of January. I'm looking for responsible, loving homes for these INSIDE ONLY kitties that will make sure they get spayed/neutered and are kept current on their shots. They are not for sale - I'm only asking for a donation in any amount toward a fund to help pay for spays/neuters, shots and any other medical care for other foster critters in need. I hope to get to a point where I can have all the shots done before they are adopted. Anyone who is interested can leave me a message at 814-596-9044. Thank you - Lucinda.

The babies are Satchmo, Harpo, Herbie, Furrbie and Thomasina. My best guess on the genders at this point is that all are male except little Miss Thomasina. Satchmo almost didn't make it but his "singing" saved him. He was born first - under the bed. I came in that evening and found Miss Celie with newborn Harpo on the bed. Then I heard the crying. I found Satchmo dangling by one paw from a window fan I had stashed under the bed. He was still wet and freezing cold. Miss Celie and I got him warmed up and he's one of the biggest of the bunch!

Miss Celie - Beautiful tortoise shell colors - jet black fur with orange tiger undercoat. She purrs all the time and loves to be loved. She earned her nickname "Motomama" because she purred through birthing all five kittens!

Herbie (male) - orange with medium length furr and 2 white stripes down his back. Very adventurous
Furrbie (male I think) - orange with long hair and some tiger striping on the tail - Lover boy
Thomasina( female) - orange with long hair and some nice white markings on the side and feet -Loves to be cuddled
Harpo (male)- soft charcoal medium length fur colored with a few specks of white - loves to have his little belly rubbed already and wrestle with the others
Satchmo (male) - black with medium length fur and lots of white specks. Loves to play with Harpo and Herbie.
