Neil C. Herzog, 82, of 101 Nelson Ave., Bradford, PA

Neil C. Herzog, 82, of 101 Nelson Ave. passed away Thursday, December 31st, 2009 at his residence.

Born December 8, 1927, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Cecil and Louise (Eberspacher) Herzog.

On July 30, 1990 in Limestone, he married Geraldine (Oshell) Herzog who survives.

Mr. Herzog served in the United States Army and served in the Philippines during WW II. He had worked as a welder, then in 1990 he moved to North Carolina to work at the Carriage Club in Charlotte. He retired due to ill health and returned to Bradford in 2001.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Bruce (Diane) Herzog of Bradford and Neil "Buck" (Betty) Herzog, Jr. of Kissimmee, FL, a sister, Mary Barnes of Olean, NY, three grandchildren, Greg Herzog, Andrea Herzog, and Lauren Herzog and several nieces and nephews including Julie Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ruth Herzog and one brother, John Herzog.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. where funeral and committal services will be held with at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mary Houck, Pastor of the Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Disabled Veterans.
