Members of Odin Grange made history recently with the presentation of the organization’s first educational scholarship. It has been a mission of the Grange for some time to expand its community outreach and service activities through initiation of a scholarship program.
First recipient is Amanda Hershey (left), a graduate of Northern Potter High School. The daughter of Kervin and Roseann Hershey of Coudersport, she is a music education major at Clarion University. She recently served a summer internship with the Potter County Planning Commission and is shown here with Planning Director Charlotte Dietrich.
Odin Grange has also been the site for a resurrection of local square dancing and recently completed a successful series of dances.
Grange is a non-profit family organization dedicated to improving quality of living through educational, social, legislative and community activity. Grange also advances the cause of agriculture, develops leadership, promotes family life and advocates at the local, state and federal government levels.
