Port Allegany Man Stopped For DUI Last Week Was Driving 94 Miles Per Hour In Roulette Township

Stopped For 94 MPH
A Port Allegany man is accused of DUI after a traffic stop in Roulette Township on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 6:42 pm.
What State Police didn't disclose in the news release issued last week is that Carpenter was stopped for going 94 miles per hour in a 55 zone and found to be DUI.

Shelley R. Carpenter, 36, of Lower Portage Road, Port Allegany, PA, was stopped by Coudersport Troopers for traffic violations. Carpenter was subsequently arrested for probable cause of DUI.

Charges were filed through District Court 55-4-01, on December 29th. They are Careless Driving; DUI; DUI Highest Rate, (.16 plus); Driving While Suspended or Revoked; and Exceeding the Speed Limit (55) by 39 miles per hour.

Carpenter is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 18, 2010 in District Judge Barbara Easton's courtroom.

This is unbelievable!
I agree with 11:50, Throw the book at him!
Thank God he did not hurt or kill anyone, at that rate of speed, he could have easily lost control of his vehicle and hit some innocent by stander. He definitely needs to be put off the highway. I pray his liscense is taken away for good!

You are right!
Throw the book at him!
Throw him in some rehab where he will never get out, jail did not seem to help him.

Holy cow ! This idiot should have his driver's license taken away forever and ever, amen ! Thank God no tragedy resulted from this person's stupidity. A vehicle is not only a mode of transportation, it can also be a lethal weapon.

Please note: this guy's license was ALREADY revoked. He still drove. How about instead of jailtime, he gets an ankle bracelet and house arrest. That way, he'll have to pay for his own food and housing instead of us paying for it...
just a thought.

Hey 5:26. Dont say that too loud about our vehicles being weapons. Along with guns, our new Fed. leader will be taking them away from us too. YES WE CAN....Change you can count on.
