William Lee “Bill” Richardson, Sr., 81, of Coudersport, PA

William Lee “Bill” Richardson, Sr., 81, of Coudersport, PA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.

Born on March 22, 1928 in Lancaster County, PA he was the son of William Henry and Kate Rhoades Galletmarker Richardson. On March 31, 1956 in Claymont, DE he married Marie L. Kindt who survives.

Mr. Richardson had lived in Coudersport for the past 24 years, coming to the area from Delaware County, PA. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the U. S. Marine Corps. He had been employed for 20 years for the Grace Lawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, DE and after moving to Coudersport he had worked at The Northern. Mr. Richardson was a member of the North Eulalia Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kate (Jeff) Reynold of Roulette, PA, two sons, William Lee (Linda) Richardson, Jr. of Aston, PA, and Thomas W. (Janet) Richardson of Ardentown, DE, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one sister, Olive Lilly of Newark, DE and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and several sisters.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the North Eulalia Baptist Church with the Reverend Michael Reeves officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, C/O Potter County Area Agency on Aging, Post Office Box 241, Roulette, PA 16746. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dolly,Kate and the boys and the rest of Bill's family he was a good guy and neighbor for many years..He will be sadly missed:(

Bill was a tremendous person. He showed up at the Northern every day with a smile on his face and was a pleaseure to get to know and be around. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
