This is a horrendous story, I just can not comprehend what these terrified children were going through. This bus driver needs to stay in jail for a long time for terrifying these children!

Saw on Fox where she lost her license for 1 year, should be a life time with that many children involved!

So glad the "kids" used their heads, demanded she stop the bus and got out via the rear exit!

I have to say the children made the right decisions in the matter. The bus driver should have to spend years in jail, after this incident, and never be allowed to drive again. I cannot believe what I saw in this video. The children definately need to be commended for their quick thinking.

I'm wondering, isn't there a law prohibiting taking pictures of school children without their parents consent? Fox and the bigger news stations blurred their faces..

Get with the program. The lady in Belmont, 57 years old, drove a school bus in the morning while having drank, in the A.M.???
She got something like 9 weekends in jail. I don't remember exactly the sentence, but, it was not near enough. If you take the amount of children on the bus times her sentence, I would expect it to be a good long one. But, didn't happen. Good thing my grandson wasn't on her bus, I would have made sure she paid 'BIG TIME'. Once she wrecked and killed students it's too late to punish her ENOUGH.

I think it was 12 weekends in jail, 1 year loss of license, and 5 years probation, and fines. Oh and she lost her job.

Where is the endangering the welfare of children, wreckless endangerment, besides just the driving under the influence?

Who cares wether it is illegal to take flippin pictures! The point is these helpless, frightened children were and are Safe and not injured or killed!

To post 8:43....how do you know the parents didn't sign a consent to have this video posted? If they did, then it IS legal. And why focus on that when there are obviously many more important things to focus on relating to this story?

I agree with 8:13 & 9:11 !!!
The point is the focus on these children's safety!

"She would never intentianally put any of those children at risk..."

I must not have been paying attention, but didn't she just do that by starting up the bus and letting children on while intoxicated?
