Young man, you cannot consume alcohol.
No go, sign up, get ur azz to Iraq or Afganistan and die for your freakin country!
American law is so whacked....

Personally I think this charge seems ridiculous. It sounds as though he consumed one alcoholic beverage. I could see if he were out in public or behind the wheel, but consuming a beverage at a residence... C'mon - lets go catch some real criminals...

If there are any other youth out there that drank alcohol on New Year's please raise your hand!!

In Roulette alone there must have been a hundred or so that had at least one drink. BIG DEAL!

Or maybe the officer was cutting him a break by saying he only had one.

and we wonder what's wrong with our youth?? might be that some of them were raised by a few of these classy bloggers??

Ask anyone in rehab if they started with "one drink".

Perhaps you are forgetting, but all of the service members that are out of the country fighting the war are volunteers....they chose to do what they are doing. You people make ist sound like a beer was yanked out of their hands and a rifle was put there as they got pushed out of the plane over Afghanistan. The law is the law....whether it is one drink or a 6 pack...it is still underage drinking.

Please do not bring our Servicemen & women in on this, they are over there to keep us safe here in America! I commend them highly!
One drink for under age drinking is against the Law wether we like it or not! One drink leads to another and so on, Again, drinking under age is against the Law, it does not matter if it is only one drink.

There is a lot more to this story than what the news release contained. Trust me, our state Police officers don't go around sniffing people's breath for no reason. I am sure there is a lot more to most every story than what is released. Give the officers credit, they are trained to make these decisions based on the facts they see, not what we think from a brief news release.

You are right Jim, there is more to this story!

& he was driving, & wrecked his car into the creek.

FIRST OFF, I KNOW THIS INDIVIDUAL PERSONALLY, HE IS A CLOSE FRIEND, AND HE WOULD GIVE THE SHIRT OFF HIS BACK FOR YOU, IF HE WANTS TO HAVE A DRINK ON NEW YEARS EVE,, THEN SO BE IT,, HOW MANY OF YOU WAITED UNTILL YOUR 21ST BIRTHDAY TO HAVE A BEER???? THATS WHAT I THOUGHT,, SO BEFORE YOU GET ON YOUR HIGH HORSE, THINK ABOUT YOUR PAST,, AT 19 ON NEW YEARS EVE, WERE YOU AT A PARTY, OR SITTING AT HOME SUCKING YOUR THUMB? IF YOU WERE DOING THE LATTER, THEN YOU HONESTLY HAVE NO LIFE!!!

Not everyone thinks they have to go out at the age of 21 and have a drink so speak for yourself. He wrecked his car because he was drinking. Would you have the same thoughts if he would have hit and killed one of your loved ones. He broke the law regardless how nice of a kid he is. there is more to life than thinking about drinking!

There must not have been anything else to do that night in Roulette. What are some activities for the teens in that area?

Anonymous said...

They (teens) could have raised money, rented out the Roulette Fire Hall and had a Drug and Booze free New Years gathering.

Bradford and other areas have had "First Nights" on New Years Eve to prevent things like this.

Why is it that people (first blogger) are the first to yell why this boy (underage) should be allowed to drink, but yet he doesn't serve his country??? I didn't know that Mr. Perry had a uniform, my bad!!

I find it stupid to argue over something like this. The boy was drinking (which is wrong). He was not found to have been driving while intoxocated. And he is a very proud service member. People really need to get their stories straight before accusing this young man of drinking and driving, and to just assume what that person said as true is wrong for others to do as well.
