Doris I. Yale, 76, of 14 Virginia Road Cheektawaga, NY, formerly of Bradford, passed away, Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 at St. Joe's Hospital in Cheektawaga.

Born March 20, 1933, in Ridgway, she was a daughter of the late Lester Glenn and Bertha M. (Bundy) Yale.

Ms. Yale was a 1952 graduate of Bradford High School. She served with the United States Army from 1953 to 1964. She later attended Buffalo State College and graduated in 1978 with a degree in Food Service Management.

She was employed as a clerk at Wegman's in Cheektawaga at the time of her death. She formerly held many positions retail management. She was member of the American Legion, and the Eagles Club.

Surviving is a sister, Elaine (Leland "Bud") Case of Bradford, a sister in law Barbara Yale, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by he parents, one brother Velmore Yale, and one sister Lois McKee.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., at 2:00PM on Tuesday March 2nd, with Rev. John Schubert pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

I worked with Doris and am very saddened by her passing. I enjoyed chatting with her so much and she will sadly be missed by many at Wegmans as we are truly all family.Sincerely, Patti Fose ( Deli ).
