Driver who killed man enters guilty plea to DUI

This is complete and utter BS.

There is no way this man's driving was influenced from a bowl he smoked 3 hours earlier.

What a crock. Go ahead and talk the nonsense now.

And people want this shi ... I mean, stuff legalized!!!

Thats funny because there is no justification on time when someone uses marijuana. He smoked 3 hours before driving, so seriously how did it impair his ability to drive? Was he still stoned 3 hours later after he smoked. Scientific Data can show you that when a person smokes marijuana that they only feel the affects up to an hour. That is the time limit that it will impair your judgement at any time. Give me a break with your petty oh marijuana is bad crap, That idiot was not impaired and he should be charged for stupid comments.

"pleading guilty to a DUI charge even though his attorney says he passed a field sobriety test."

"then-district attorney Michael Madeira didn’t have enough evidence to charge Babin with homicide by vehicle while DUI."

"The 19-year-old, who is already serving jail time"

"Police said Babin drove about a mile after hitting Hilliard, picked up his grandmother and drove back to the scene, where his grandmother called 911."

So let me get this right.

The police got a plea deal with the guy to blame the bowl he smoked hours earlier on what was just as likely just an accident or negligent driving.

The man was not convicted of this, he was given a sheet of paper that said "Here is the official story" and signed it.

No actual evidence or indication that the man was actually in an altered state "in fact, a field sobriety test proved that he WAS in fact of sober mind and body.

But you know, far be it for me to stop a good mary jane propaganda piece.

The article says they administered a sobriety test and he passed?

I don't understand.

BUT you IDIOT'S he broke the LAW. maybe if we put these smokers away for crimes they might have lots of time to think of the victoms family.

So you people are taking it as gospel that he actually smoked it 3 hours before he drove? Yeah...sure...and most people that get DUI say that they only has a beer or 2.... Come on people....you aare now being hypocrites about this because you are stating that it DOES impare a persons driving but only for an hour. Let's ask the pedestrian that he ran over and KILLED what he thinks!!

No way should this be made legal....

Unfortunately, he could have smoked three days before hand and the government would have said he was under the influence of Marijuana. It is absurd and crazy!!!!! Marijuana is not bad for you, actually it helps depression, anxiety (for some), terminally ill patients, the seeds can help with high bloodpressure and other heart related issues (kind of like taking a tylenol a day). Marijuana is far from harmful. It helps more than even we can know because big business made it illegal so they could save their industries (paper and other things). But to put a 19 year old kid in jail for a valid accident and say that it was because of marijuana is wrong. There is no way that the marijuana in his system could have affected his judgement. What is wrong with America?????

WHAT PART DON'T YOU SEE he was braking the law.what would you feel like if he would have run over your 7 year old gettin off the bus or riding his bike.he had it in his system so that makes him an outlaw. i know the justice system ain't right but you play ya pay.

1:09 im with you on that he wood not go no place if he killed my kid he be the same place is my kid

12:29 good point?! I guess? But you can stretch the benefits of marijuana all you want. This kid had pot in his system (which does cause impairment) and had an accident. Singing pots praises doesn't take away the fact that getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol, prescription medicine or POT can cause an accident and anothers death.

I never understood how anyone can speak up for the legalization of marijuana and refuse to see the harm it can do. Legalize pot?? Maybe?? Take a blind eye to the negative effects (ie, this article) STUPID!!
