Linda L. Dake, 64, of 1864 Cherry St., Olean, NY

OLEAN, NY - Linda L. Dake, 64, of 1864 Cherry St. passed away Tuesday (Feb. 2, 2010) at the Underwood Manor in Hinsdale after a long illness.

Mrs. Dake was the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Copella) Schoonmaker. On Nov. 25, 1989, she married Harold W. Dake, who survives.

She was a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School, class of 1964. She was employed at Dal-Tile Co., retiring due to illness. Mrs. Dake was also a member of the Olean BPOE, and enjoyed camping at the Kinzua Reservoir. She spent winters in Florida.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Dake is survived by a son, David Goldsmith of Olean, NY; a daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Jandrew of Nazareth, PA; six grandchildren, a brother Joe (Judy) Schoonmaker of Olean; a sister, Donna (Tom) Scott of Shinglehouse, PA; a stepdaughter, Christine (Robert) Womack, Plant City, FL; a stepson, Dereck (Zanetta) Dake, Zephyrhills, FL; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Phillip Schoonmaker.

Family and friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, on Saturday (Feb. 6, 2010), from 11 am to noon at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. James Kazimer, pastor of the Church of God, Eldred, PA, will officiate.

Burial will be at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
