Myrna J. Holden, 68, of 3080 Rt. 646, Rew, PA

Myrna J. Holden, 68, of 3080 Rt. 646, Rew, passed from this earth into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 25th, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at BRMC.

Born February 7, 1942, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Laura (Peterson) Smead.

On February 20, 1960, in Bradford she married Lloyd J. Holden who survives.

Mrs. Holden attended West Branch Elementary School, School Street Junior High School and Bradford Senior High School. She latter attained her GED.

She had been employed at Zippo Manufacturing where she enjoyed working with her friends and co-workers from 1961 until her retirement in 1998.

She was a former member of the West Branch United Methodist Church, and a lifelong believer in Jesus Christ our Lord.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she spent many, many happy hours. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and true friend. Her memory will forever be cherished by those dear to her.

In addition to her husband of 50 years she is survived by a daughter, Tama (Richard) Fitzsimmons of Cyclone, a son, Lloyd C. (Jessica) Holden of Gifford, three granddaughters: Buffy (Yuri) Merrick, Heather Holden and Mercedes Holden, four grandsons: Aaron Fitzsimmons, Matthew Fitzsimmons, Clayton Holden and Parker Holden, one great granddaughter: Vanessa Merrick, three sisters: Bonnie (Neal) McMillen of Bradford, Sandra Schlopy of Bradford, and Violet Zawacki of Aiken, two brothers Wilbur (Ida) Smead of Hastings, FL, and Paul (Barbara) Smead of Bradford, and a daughter in law, Rhonda Holden of Aiken, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 1st, with Rev. Glenn A. Hamilton, pastor of the Cyclone Free Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Clermont Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKean County VNA Hospice 20 School Street Bradford, PA 16701.
