BRADFORD, Pa.—The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Admissions Office will hold an open house and two information sessions in February for prospective students and their families.

First Friday, a visitors’ program that allows prospective students to have a group visit on campus during the week, takes place on Feb. 5. Events begin at 10 a.m. and include a presentation by the admissions office, a campus tour with a student ambassador and lunch in the KOA Dining Hall.

Open house will take place on Saturday, Feb. 13. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Satterwhite Lobby of Hanley Library with faculty and staff members available to greet visitors.

Pitt-Bradford president Dr. Livingston Alexander will welcome guests at 1p.m. in the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall, followed by a presentation on “College Academics,” and a student panel to address questions and comments regarding “student life.”

Individual breakout sessions will follow, addressing the needs of students who have already applied and those who have not yet applied, including seniors, juniors and sophomores in high school, transfer students, and those students who have been referred to Pitt-Bradford from the University of Pittsburgh.

Campus tours conducted by Student Ambassadors begin at 2:30 p.m. The program will conclude with a “tailgate party” beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Tom L. McDowell Fieldhouse. Visitors will also be offered complimentary tickets to Panther basketball vs. Franciscan University at 4:00 p.m.

“The program is designed to provide information on admissions, financial aid, scholarship opportunities and much more,” said Vicky Pingie, associate director of admissions at Pitt-Bradford.

On Feb. 27, a Saturday information session begins at 1 p.m. in Swarts Hall, Room 162. The session includes a tour and an opportunity to speak with an admissions counselor.
