Warning On Anti Virus That Is A Virus

Bad for Business said...

This is old news I have had this information posted on my Website for months now. Its sad it is now making headlines on news stations. I even sent information of Pay Pal Scams to Jim when the Area started flooding, but not once did it get posted. Oh well people can stay un-informed, just means more money in the pockets of computer repair personel.

This is a very malicious virus. It closes everything down. You can't even get into Restore. The simple solution is to force your computer to shut-down by holding down the power button. Now push the button to restart and load up in SAFE MODE. Now do a SYSTEM RESTORE to an earlier date. You should be good to go.

I start up in the safe mode (keep hitting the F8 key when starting-up and you can get to the safe mode. Then I run Malwarbytes (anti malware), downloaded free. This procedure was given to me by a professional PC guru. It has worked for me every time. I also have used CCleaner for a long time and like it, also a free download.

Dear Bad for business,
I have gone back through my mail and list of deleted comments that were not published. I was not able to find the mail you sent. The following could have happened:I didn't get it;It went to spam and I didn't catch it; It didn't have a subject on the email in which case it would not be opened; it was in a comment and accidentally got deleted by a moderator. I appreciate you sending information to assist our readers, and will certainly pass on any valid information you send. We try not to screw up, but once in a while it happens.

I am not trying to blow smoke. I was trying to give information to people about the Pay-Pal scam because I know a lot of people use Pay-Pal to do their bank transactions on the internet or E-commerce. I will resend the email so jim can post it. Anytime I do get new virus related information I will send it to you for the public. I would post my site but its not a professinal work site, its just a plain personal help site. Now heres some advice about the Virus going around.

1. If you get a popup saying your computer is infected to run a scan from their recommended virus scans do not click anywhere on the pop-up box. Simply hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and end processes. This will help prevent any infection.

2. This virus uploads itself in the backgroud to your temporary internet files, and Temp folders, also creating registry keys.

3. Best tools to use against these viruses are AVG Virus Scan, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, Spybot S&D, Norton, Mcafee, Kaspersky, Verizon Internet Security, Zero Knowledge (Zitomedia), and Avast.

4. Keep all virus definitions up-to-date for best protection.

5. Go into Internet Properties under Advanced and uncheck Enable Third Party Browser Extensions.

Sites hit with this virus are Google.com, Yahoo.com, Nfl.com, Facebook.com, Myspace.com, Wild-Tangent.com, Searchs on Famous Celebrities, and file sharing sites such as Limewire, Frostwire, and Kazaa. If you want more information leave a post and I can give you more Information. Sorry Jim I did not mean to make it sound like I was bashing you, I was trying to inform people of this because we all can see how well the news does at informing.

Jim I resent the email to you, it is call Pay-Pal Scam. There are links in the email which mite flag it as spam. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone clicking on the links as it will install the virus onto your computer.

I use the Malwarebytes paid version. The free version is great and will help you take care of most infections but the paid version runs in the background and updates itself for continuous protection. I highly recommend it and it costs less than $30. Money well spent!!

I also use Ad Aware. Free. It is good also. Lavasoft is the Mfg.
