Church and Bowling Alley Give Away Free Dates

Church and Bowling Alley Give Away Free Dates

BRADFORD – Open Arms Community Church is teaming up with Byllye Lanes to strengthen local marriages and relationships. Studies have shown that over 60% of first-time marriages end in divorce or separation, with the percentages being even greater for second, third marriages. How does the church plan to help? “It’s a two-fold strategy,” says Mike McAvoy, Pastor at Open Arms. “First, we will be launching a new series of talks called ‘Relationship Rescue’ to help equip people to deal with the troublesome issues in their relationship and give some practical application. Secondly, we’re putting our money where our mouth is and giving couples a FREE DATE to Byllye Lanes. When I called and explained to Steve Feldman what we were doing he was excited to get involved.” Each couple that attends the 'Relationship Rescue' series will receive a coupon from Open Arms for a Free Date to Byllye Lanes. “Nobody gets married with the desire to see it fail,” says McAvoy, “but that is exactly what’s happening to most relationships, so we want to do what we can to help people save their marriage. We want to give people hope, vision, and tools for a better relational future.” The new series starts Sunday, March 28- with service times at 9:15am and 11:00am. Open Arms Community Church is located at 1289 E. Main St. in Bradford, 1 mile North of Wal-Mart.
